Field Trips – 2025-2026

A field trip is a curricular based learning experience occurring outside of the confines of the school.  It is a great opportunity to make real world connections to lessons being taught during the school day and year.  Like classroom lessons, planning for a field trip requires the assurance of equitable access  for all students, regardless of their socioeconomic background, mobility level, academic performance, behavior, or other factors. 

Please read the revised field trip process and Field Trip Procedures document  before making any field trip plans.   The necessary steps and the responsibilites of the field trip coordinator are clearly defined.

Change Highlights

• The form/application is moving to an online process:  the link is in the Field Trip Procedures document
• Staff should be having a meeting with building principals before the online application is initiated and/or communication with families-- use the procedure outline to guide the meeting!
• The staff member submitting the application will receive an email when the application is either approved or denied
