BELONGING COMMUNITY OPTIMISM GROWTH

Mrs. Alison Morgan

Mrs. Alison Morgan

Mrs. Alison Morgan began her career in the Ludlow Public Schools in 2010 accepting the position of a speech-language pathologist at East Street School working with students in grades PreK- 1st grade.  In 2016 she was appointed as the preschool special education supervisor, a position she considered an opportunity to further support and positively impact the school community as a leader.

Prior to joining the LPS Morgan had a diverse professional career as a speech-language pathologist in an outpatient hospital setting.  During this time she discovered a love of working with elementary aged students and made the career decision to work in a school based setting.

Morgan attended Worcester State College earning a Bachelor of Science degree in communication sciences and disorders in 2004 and a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2007 and holds the following licenses-

  1. Massachusetts Dept of Elementary and secondary education licensure in Speech and Hearing Disorders - all levels
  2. Massachusetts Dept of Elementary and secondary education licensure in Special Education Administration - all levels
  3. Licensed through American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  4. Commonwealth of Massachusetts division of professional licensure as a speech-language pathologist

**Morgan’s educational philosophy- “All students are unique in their own way and as educators we need to use these strengths to teach and advance our students. Every student has varying interests and learns differently; therefore, a one size fits all form of learning does not work. ”- has been a driving force in her role as both a speech and language pathologist and preschool special education supervisor.

Her philosophy and commitment to providing every child an appropriate education also played a major role in her decision to seek and be elected as a member of the Monson Public Schools school committee in 2021.

Morgan and her husband Bob have two amazing children, Lukas and Jacob, and two animated boxers, Cooper and Charlie. In their free time,  you might find this outdoor loving  family hiking, playing sports, out on the water where they wakesurf, tube, fish, relax in the sun, or they might be having fun playing with their mud loving dogs.

Morgan has a love for history and learning about the many historical landmarks around the world, sparking a personal goal of visiting as many national parks and historical landmarks around the world as possible in her lifetime.
